| Main objective: | Setting-up of a pilot inter-university centre for Electrotechnical Engineering in order to develop and harmonize the curricula in the participant universities, to implement new courses for graduates and postgraduates, and to create a post-academic retraining system for industry staff. |
Educational activity development from the point of view of colleges and
faculties integration into an unitary and coherent system
graduate
and postgraduate curricula review according to the involved departments
point of view in order to ensure the compatibility with the EU academic
system;
updating
of the existing syllabuses, creation of new ones, elaboration of the corresponding
teaching materials and introduction of new modern teaching tools (CAE)
in the educational process. The following courses have been foreseen
to be developed in the original application form:

Electromagnetic Field Theory. Computational Models & Methods (2 courses);
The
Electric Circuit Theory. Analysis and Synthesis Methods (2 courses);
Fundamental
Informatics. Introduction in Software Development (1 course);
Numerical
Methods and CAD in the Analysis and Synthesis of Electromagnetic Field.
The Finite Element Method and the Boundary Element Method (2 courses);
Numerical
Methods and CAD in the Analysis and Synthesis of Electrical Circuits (2courses);
Optimal
Design of Electromagnetic Devices (1 course);
Working
in Group (1 course).
Creation of a post-academic retraining system called PARENT in the following
topics:
CAD
in Electromagnetism & Electric Circuits (non-certificate courses);
Working in group (non-certificate courses).
Creation of a modern oriented CAD/CAE
laboratory and a Documentation Centre for:
training
of the undergraduate/postgraduates students;
retraining
of the industry personnel in the frame of the PARENT system.
PIUC integration into the EU context,
accomplished through:
updating
the professional knowledge of the academic staff;
integration
of the Romanian students into the life of the students from EU countries;
acquiring
of teaching equipment compatible with the EU standards;
establishment
of academic recognition between the Tempus partner universities in order
to implement de students study period mobilities;
integration
of the PIUC into the EU scientific environment.
